My recent work has been exploring the relationship between metal adornment and textiles, and the intimacy that they share with the wearer through the use of chainmail. The chainmail displays how clothing and jewelry are used as self expression, but also as a layer of protection. This contemporary use of chainmail disrupts the historical concept of what chainmail can signify and be used for.
